El proyecto bandera de educación ambiental de CORTOLIMA fue acogido este año por la Alcaldía de Ibagué a través del voto joven, en el que se eligieron los gobiernos escolares en 83 instituciones educativas de la ciudad.
En ese sentido, se ha llevó a cabo en el centro de Convenciones Alfonso López
Pumarejo, el evento de posesión de contralores, comisarios, personeros,
representantes estudiantiles y por supuesto, los patrulleros ecológicos.El proyecto bandera de educación ambiental de CORTOLIMA fue acogido este año por la Alcaldía de Ibagué a través del voto joven, en el que se eligieron los gobiernos escolares en 83 instituciones educativas de la ciudad.
Al acto asistieron, Carmen Sofía Bonilla Martínez, Directora de CORTOLIMA,
el Alcalde de Ibagué, Luís H. Rodríguez; el Contralor Municipal, Edwin Riaño; el
Personero Municipal, Isaac Vargas; el Presidente del Concejo Municipal, Javier
Mora; los jóvenes dignatarios de los gobiernos escolares que fueron
posesionados, los patrulleros ecológicos, Directivos y funcionarios de
CORTOLIMA, entre otros. 
Es así como, gracias al compromiso interinstitucional entre la máxima
autoridad ambiental del Tolima y la Alcaldía Municipal de Ibagué, se resalta una
vez más, la importancia de masificar y hacer pública la misión que como
corporación se tiene de conservar y preservar los recursos naturales, así como
también darle a la visión ambiental el espacio de reconocimiento que se merece.
En
el gobierno escolar, serán consideradas las iniciativas de los estudiantes, de
los educadores, de los administrativos y de los padres de familia, en aspectos
tales como la adopción y verificación del reglamento escolar, la organización de
las actividades sociales, deportivas, culturales, artísticas y demás acciones
que redunden en la práctica de la participación democrática en la vida
escolar.
Los voceros de los estamentos constitutivos de la
comunidad educativa, podrán presentar sugerencias para la toma de decisiones de
carácter financiero, administrativo y técnico-pedagógico.
Personero de los estudiantes
Según el artículo 28 del decreto 1860 de 1994, "en
todos los establecimientos educativos el personero de los estudiantes será un
alumno que curse el último grado que ofrezca la institución encargado de
promover el ejercicio de los deberes y derechos de los estudiantes, consagrados
en la Constitución Política, las leyes, los reglamentos y el Manual de
convivencia."
Son funciones del personero:
- a. Garantizar el cumplimiento de los deberes y derechos de los estudiantes.
- b. Recibir las quejas que presenten los estudiantes.
- c. Presentar ante el rector las solicitudes, reclamos y sugerencias de los estudiantes, que contribuyan a proteger sus derechos y a facilitar el cumplimiento de sus deberes.
- d. Cuando lo considere necesario, puede apelar ante el consejo directivo, las decisiones del rector respecto a las peticiones presentadas por su intermedio.
- e. Mediar en las situaciones en las cuales su presencia sea requerida.
